Project Overview

PHOTONIC (Photon Science Harmonised Online Tools for Open, Navigable, Interactive Computing) is an ErUM-Data research initiative that introduces a new approach to accessing photon science data: real-time, online and standardised.

This placeholder page will later host detailed technical material, news on workshops, tutorials and links to the outcomes.

Development

Transcoding

PHOTONIC uses a directed acyclic graph (DAG) as a communication tool to identify transcoding use cases.
The DAG indicates what data/metadata each usecase (beamline) produces, what MIME type identifies them, and which Tiled adapter can read them. The graph is built with beamline scientists and constantly updated.
